The list price for kitchens is a thing on its own – from what I gathered, it’s usually some high numbers that are then directly calculated with the various "modular systems," "running meters of kitchen," or whatever. At XXL, there were also statements like "we get 50% discount on Schüller, unfortunately I can’t do that for Häcker." In the end, though, the kitchen from both manufacturers costs about the same. I would consider the list price and the "discounts" irrelevant when buying the kitchen. What really helped us with the price determination was just comparing the similarly planned kitchen at different studios. As a layperson in this area, it is – I would say – hard to see through who has which margins and how the price finally shapes up. We had a kitchen studio where planning was done together with us, and there was a small window in the planning tool showing the current list price of the kitchen. It kept getting higher and higher, way above our planned budget, but we were told to ignore the price. At the end of the planning, the planner clicked around a little on his screen (not visible to us) and suddenly the price was reduced by more than 50%. Who’s supposed to understand that...Where do I even get the list price? In the folder at the kitchen studio, I only saw those "dots" for Nobilia, but no prices in euros.
