So 100+ for a single-family house I now find a bit much. We ended up at 133 (indoors) for a semi-detached house with a basement and converted attic. Maybe the list helps for an overview:

Power column in the garden, among others for a future garage with 2 pieces of 32 amp heavy current sockets and 4 double sockets
Meter cabinets and connections for heating.
2x landline connection and 2x fax connection
Sat system for 14 connections

In the living area, 1 LAN connection is not enough. Even if these are double sockets. TV, set-top box, game console, etc. Access points also require a connection...

Yes, LAN can be discussed, most devices don't even have a port anymore and rely 100% on WiFi. With us, everything actually runs over WiFi except for the XboX.

Even the work computers are only on WiFi.

No losses because of that...
