So, of course, I wouldn’t have paid 50K. But it was only 2800 euros from the bankruptcy estate.

Dismantle it myself, transport 400 km, adapt and install the kitchen according to the available space. I did it all myself. Additional costs were the kitchen stove, the black refrigerator, the dishwasher (was not included) and a few small items.

Scavolini kitchens are currently not available in Germany. You would have to order in Italy. All solid wood, no particle board, solid granite slabs, etc. Financially, it was of course doable without financing and was paid from ongoing income. And that’s how I built our entire house. Without financing and with what I think is still a high-quality finish. So there is always a way.

Without financial obligations, without pressure, life is definitely calmer. You are simply freer.

So there are always ways to build cheaply or furnish yourself. You can be dumb, you just have to know how to help yourself.

Crazy world.

A colleague bought 830m2 of land last year and only took out a bridge loan at 1.7% until he knows how the house will be planned and built. Now the planning is underway and the interest rates have meanwhile risen to around 2%.
The bridge loan is now becoming a separate component of the entire financing because the 1.7% is currently a bargain.
