I had calculated it back then as well, Weberhaus installs Senec (or did so at the end of 2020). Ultimately, you always have the problem with package prices. If you hit your consumption well, it can be worth it. If you consume significantly less or more, it is not worthwhile. The problem with that is that when moving from an apartment to a house, it is difficult to estimate consumption. And even less so if heating is then added using electricity.

You must not compare that exclusively to the regular electricity tariff. Instead, you have to compare it to no storage, no cloud, and photovoltaic system. You just consume what you can and feed the rest in. And then the electricity consumption separately. And according to my calculation, it wasn't worth it for me at all.

Well, basically the calculation is a bit more complicated. If you consume significantly more or less, the package that fits you best will be calculated retroactively for the year. It was the same for me. I actually had the 2,500 kWh tariff but ended up feeding in and consuming about 4,500 kWh. They then looked at what the tariff for the 4,500 kWh package is and calculated that retroactively. By the way, I assigned the feed-in tariff to Senec. This goes directly to Senec every month. At the end of the year, it is offset with the billing. All other deviations from the subscription package are then reconciled precisely at the end. So if, for example, exactly 4,788 kWh were fed in during the year and 4,620 kWh were drawn from the grid, the base tariff of the 4,500 kWh tariff is taken as a basis and the 120 kWh above that are billed separately. I think for me it was 26 cents or so, but I would have to check again. Why? I would have acquired the photovoltaic system and the storage anyway. And then it was just the question of additionally the electricity cloud or a normal electricity tariff for the rest drawn from the grid. And in my opinion, the electricity cloud was cheaper there. Which electricity provider offers me an electricity price of 20 cents per kWh and that also without a basic fee?!

Since we are then also zero-feed-in users, we have not been able to identify any legal hurdles. The system is not subsidized by any funding and we also forego the VAT refund.
We stay completely within our home network.

If the bureaucracy does come around the corner here, then one might have to ask whether everyone who grows and consumes tomatoes & co. at home is also doing something "illegal" :-D

That sounds too good to be true. How does Senec still intend to make money if they feed surplus electricity into the grid in summer at 6 cents and in winter have to supply expensive electricity to compensate for this 6 cents? They definitely can’t sell it at cost in summer. I also can’t find anything on the website about automatic optimization, only that you can change your package if you want.

As I said, with me it was done that way on the last billing. I will make a detailed statement of all costs in the next few days and a fictional comparison to a normal electricity tariff.

In the end, however, I effectively had costs of a total of €500 for self-consumption of 11,222 kWh with a photovoltaic system, storage, and electricity cloud. I think that is quite acceptable.
If I calculate just for fun how it would be without a photovoltaic system with a standard tariff of, say, 30 cents per kWh and a basic fee of €15 per month... I come to €3,546.60.

So theoretically I would have saved about €3,000 in one year. That way I would have paid off the photovoltaic system including storage in 5 years.
