I believe anyone who had proposed an oil, gas, coal, or steel embargo against Russia six months ago would have long since been taken away in a straitjacket. Today, politics thinks everything is possible without Russian raw materials. A bit more wind power and photovoltaic systems and everything will be fine.

Even Friedrich Merz is no longer afraid of a nuclear war. That comforts me immensely.

Nuclear war certainly will not happen. Putin and his associates have only one thing they respect. And that would be death. And they know exactly that if it comes to that, they will hardly get away with their lives. Therefore, I would not worry too much about it. And six months ago, the world was a bit different. Sure, the EU and also Germany were quite naïve when it came to Russia. The signs that he and his associates are war criminals had already been there much earlier. But diplomacy was relied upon. Now that it brings nothing, one must either intervene in the war oneself (which no one wants) or by supporting Ukraine and financially weakening Russia, prevent the war from escalating. If Ukraine is occupied, it will continue at least with Moldova.

Whoever still has understanding for Putin now is beyond help.

Individually according to the respective basic needs. What do I need, what can I do without. As a hobby, by the way, I really plant vegetables. Also potatoes. It’s not enough forever, but a little bit. In addition, a generator, corresponding fuel. Also a reserve for the car. Gas cylinders for cooking. I can thus manage completely self-sufficiently for a certain time. And that without bunkering or anything else. Essential needs are then covered. Everything beyond that is then anyway a problem that we as a society have never been confronted with.

I also grow vegetables. For a while now. I find gardening is a good balance. Mentally and physically. So far, my focus has been more on diversity, species preservation rather than on getting full. Participation in projects like [this year Increase]. We don't have a generator, but enough wood. I can cook over an open fire.

Then I'll connect the topics again:

It's nice that you can cook, heat, and eat, but do you also have enough water?

- What are the current prices for cisterns?
- Are the well builders still as overloaded as in the last 2 years?

3 cubic meters in rain barrels. Cistern is difficult because the ground is too rocky and there was concern the slope might come down. Well isn't possible because it is a protected spring area. However, 20 meters away is the well that supplied the village with drinking water until 100 years ago. The source is not far away. If the water is contaminated, I don't want to use it from the barrels or cisterns either.
