No idea if it will still grow. It should have actually been finished weeks ago. We ordered the carport + greening in April/May. But unfortunately everything got delayed. Getting a landscaper (for the foundation) here is almost impossible. Then his employees were sick (probably Covid). Now I just want it to be finished. Especially since we have a fixed price for carport + greening. The price guarantee expires on 12/31. I don’t want the company to make additional claims just because the greening is missing. At the moment, you have to expect anything with prices.

For us currently about 150k € for a bungalow with 156m² living space and two garages.

Bought at the building materials dealer and of course also sometimes at the hardware store or online.

Sounds familiar to me. Our carport was supposed to be up in May/June as well. It was finally done in early October. And then the landscaper (although a separate trade) said he’d rather do it in the spring. But I would have gone ahead with it if he had shown up. Worst case, the greenery just goes into winter dormancy :D So now I’m looking at the bleak Bauder Thermofol 15U for months – I’ll survive. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that everything works out for you.

At special request, a brief addition on the topic of cost estimation and correspondingly high increases: Our architect comes from Austria. At the time of the offer submission (3rd quarter 2020), approximately €2350 (net) per m2 of living space was assumed. According to a cost estimate at the beginning of November this year, about 30 projects from the last 10 months have been included with the same standard (slightly higher!). In this context, the items building materials, solid wood as well as concrete itself have been adjusted upwards to such an extent that a difference of about 34% of the net total costs has arisen here. A forecast on the part of the office cannot be made. Of course, Austria is about 6% above the wage cost level of Germany, but it can be assumed that a similar situation exists there in relation as well. Only the philosophy of building is still somewhat more with the local provider here. When the cost calculations or our offers return from the award process, I will report again! Greetings
