Yes, we also visited people who built with our general contractor 2-3 years ago. Everything was great, we were told. The times back then simply can’t be compared to today. Some just can’t cope with the new circumstances now prevailing due to 3 years of pandemic and now also war.

He was also very relaxed at a time when it was already being read everywhere on the internet that heat pumps practically no longer exist. So let's tackle the heating issue, discuss everything calmly, and see when we want to comfortably order a heat pump.

Of course, you have to deal with it now, but on equal footing. Our heat pump is being ordered now and should probably be available in 12 months. If not, we need to look in 6-8 months at what plan B could be – and not just assume "calmly" that it will really arrive in 12 months. Communication, that's what it's about.

Yes, he was used to the heat pump being on the yard 4 weeks after ordering. He still assumed that now. Actually, the house acceptance was planned shortly before Christmas. The heat pump was ordered sometime in August.

I don’t want to spoil it for you either, I just want to bring some realism into the debate.

Our salespeople or project managers often sit together with the customer and speak very calmly and composedly… but they know very well that we can only meet these commitments with a lot of luck, if at all.

And I wouldn’t rely on experiences from 3 years ago either. That was 2019 and therefore even before Covid. You can’t compare that to the situation today in any way. Unfortunately, that’s how it is.

Yes, we are extremely frustrated. To get back on topic. These are, of course, significant additional costs that we are incurring as a result. The double burden is in full swing plus all the subsidies that we will probably lose. BAFA expires in January 2023, although we have already extended it once by 12 months. We have requested a further extension, which is actually excluded according to the funding guidelines. They have already pointed this out and, according to their own statement, are currently thoroughly reviewing the case. My suspicion: I am not the only one who is running into this problem with them – see the neighboring thread on the BAFA funding 2020 topic. Either they refuse everyone the second extension or grant it to everyone.
