The topic of the kitchen was also exciting for us. We went through various addresses and I had to laugh a lot during the price negotiations.

A kitchen studio planned a relatively simple Schüller U-shaped kitchen for us, about 3m tall cabinets and 4m workspace with a Berbel downdraft extractor, the rest from Siemens (mid-range; dishwasher, fridge-freezer combo, oven), laminate countertop, a bit of LED lighting for the workspace at the beginning of the year for just under 20k.

An acquaintance works at a furniture chain with many XX (not in the kitchen area) and offered us a personal discount through him. Planned a Schüller kitchen with the planner, 5.40m linear kitchen (including four tall cabinets) + 1.80m x 1.20m island including Bora X Pure downdraft extractor, the rest again Siemens, laminate countertop. Then it came down to the price. The planner quoted us a price of just under 50k. I had to laugh first and asked if she was serious. She then gave us a discount and we were at about 40k and asked if that was okay. I was not satisfied with that either, and she wanted to talk to the boss again and disappeared. Then she came back and said she could give XX% more and then we would be at about 32k. I was not satisfied with that either and she finally brought the boss. He came with the classic questions whether we had comparative offers, how high those were, what our pain threshold was, etc. I didn’t want to play that game, but I was able to push him down to about 26k. It was already clear to me from the first price and also from the consultation talks that I wanted to buy the kitchen at a smaller kitchen studio because even the quality of the planning was really difficult and sluggish. But during the price negotiations, I really had to smile again at how one is supposed to be suggested with high percentages what a great kitchen one is buying and how nicely they come towards you on the price.

In the end, we bought the kitchen from a very small kitchen studio, similar dimensions as at the furniture store with XX, Bora X Pure, laminate and everything installed flush, better Siemens appliances, refrigerator and freezer separate, but Nobilia and about 23k. There were no negotiations, just nice "extras." We know several families who were super satisfied and that plays a big role for us.
A proud price for a kitchen, but the Bora X Pure alone costs quite a lot of money. The kitchen was ordered for next March and due to an error at the factory it is already finished and stands in the kitchen studio’s warehouse, so hopefully we don’t have to worry about any delays.. :D

We were at a small kitchen studio with the budget. The boss also immediately communicated that he understands the budget as a target and plans directly below it. Now you would probably have to pay a little more, but I don't think 20k. Kitchen is from Schüller, in a U-shape about 4x3m with tall cabinets on one long side and wall cabinets on the short side. Refrigerator, dishwasher, induction cooktop, oven, steam oven from Bosch. Extractor from Miele.

1/3 furniture, 1/3 appliances, 1/3 countertop. Of course, it makes a difference whether it's Ikea carcass or Leicht, Miele or AEG, ceramic or laminate.

But that also makes the comparison so difficult. "My Nolte only costs 10, yours is supposed to cost 15?! Rip-off!". It's just as general as "how much does a car cost".

To make it a bit more concrete: this is the number that is supposed to cost over 25k. Even without the large "buffet cabinet" extension, we would still be over 21k. Is that normal? It seems expensive to me despite price increases. If I leave out the cabinet, the kitchen is maybe half the size of my Nobilia from 2020, but is supposed to cost 3k more. (?) This was our first kitchen studio, but also a relatively small one with good reviews. We have another appointment at a different one over the weekend. But I can't help it, it seems expensive to me? Apart from the Bora (which probably costs around 4k) we don't have any big gimmicks in it. Refrigerator, oven, dishwasher all from the Siemens/Bosch range, nothing with crazy features. Villeroy & Boch ceramic sink, but our 2020 kitchen already had that too.

It's one of those wood replicas. Oak something. I assume laminated particle board. We also had that in the previous kitchen.
