Prices of industrial products are rising as strongly as never before

With an increase of 25 percent, prices for raw materials and industrial products have been raised at the beginning of the year as much as not since 1949. This will likely also affect consumers in the end.

I now also have current data from relatives:
Follow-up financing for a semi-detached house, about 70,000 for 1.88%. If you now repay 20,000 in special repayments and finance 50,000, 2.35%.

With such a small remaining amount, of course not worth mentioning, but the advisor apparently also said that they now get weekly interest rate increases.

What do you think, when will the effects of the Ukraine war reach our building materials trade, both in terms of possible shortages and price increases?

Earlier I filled up diesel at €2.01 per liter, and that was still the gas station that was 10-15 cents cheaper than the others. The topic of energy prices is everywhere in the supply chain and will have a super fast impact.

As far as I know, there has never been an oil price shock without a recession.
When energy prices rise, the economy declines.
Bauking has had a Trojan in the system since the middle of last week. Only phone and fax are working. Still needed balancing mass, +20% price increase since 2022.
In our area, the first construction projects are now being stopped or not started anymore.
If the house now costs 400k 18 months later instead of 300k – no wonder.
