In the construction industry, already before the price increases, so much profit was made – those who go bankrupt now have mainly managed poorly. It can’t be due to the price increases. We want to have two standard roof windows installed in an existing building. The offered prices range between 3,800 and 4,800. This is not a defensive offer but simply standard. At the moment, I worry least about the construction industry / GCs. More about families who were lucky to get something but are sailing so close to the wind that it could break some of their necks.

Off topic and bitter: I’m just waiting for the day when we will also have to pay levies, taxes, fees, or whatever for exhaling carbon dioxide. I don’t know if a ;-) would be appropriate after this sentence or not.

This item is explicitly listed on our invoice for the rental of the construction site toilet, as well as the toll fees and VAT. At least it is transparent.

So concrete is pretty much the only thing that hasn't become drastically more expensive. Maybe the transportation costs and some additional expenses. I inquired recently. The cubic meter is still at 92 euros. That is still relatively cheap.

If you make a ground slab and calculate 20 cubic meters, then it is not that much material. Why 30,000 euros are asked for a ground slab I don't know either. It's not because of the concrete. That's just under 2,000 euros.

My shell constructor gave me a rough estimate 3 years ago:
100m² reinforced concrete ceiling costs the customer €10,000 gross.

If every livestock animal had a car, flew on vacation to the Maldives, etc., then it would look quite different ;) 7 billion people in battery cages and without anything are easily doable. But no one wants that.
