Construction costs are currently skyrocketing

Ordered the wooden terrace roof today. 21% more expensive than last year. I can say that so precisely because I had already gotten a quote last year.

Well, the price increases are quite severe. For a prefabricated house supplier, the auction houses in 2021 are exactly 10% more expensive than in 2020. I have the 2020 price list as a catalog, and recently the new prices have become available. These are the same houses. The equipment is also the same. The only difference is that the photovoltaic system is slightly larger.

You should not forget that compared to 2020, usually already 3% are related to the temporary VAT reduction. Depending on when the offer or the price list was valid. 7-8% are probably unavoidable at the moment. Even the previous years were no rarity for 5-6% per year.

That's right, I hadn’t had the VAT reduction on my radar. But the increase over the last few years by about 6% is quite severe.

I can say that for sure because I already had a quote made for me last year.

If someone asks me twice for the same offer, I would make it more expensive the second time, just on principle. ;)
