We are still two steps away from disputing the round shape of the Earth.
An overview of the state of research is provided, for example, by [Deutsche Ärzteblatt].
"The cited data taken as a whole suggest that wearing face masks in public spaces can significantly contribute to reducing the spread of SARS-CoV-2. Even where infection cannot be prevented, symptomatic illnesses are likely prevented or the severity of the illnesses reduced by reducing the infectious dose – according to the described observations of the [Schweizerischen Streitkräfte] as well as the inoculation experiments in macaques. It is currently unclear to what extent the available data can be transferred to the infection events with mutated SARS-CoV-2."

It's about obligation, not masks themselves. Reading helps. Also, don't quote any dubious lobby newspapers but please use raw data and analyze it properly. Otherwise, you might as well quote someone from Charité (e.g. Drosten) and I'll throw Wendler at you. On that basis, my time is too precious.

Well, then we could also abolish the seatbelt requirement. That would probably increase the overall IQ of the gene pool as well.

Where can I submit my buLl*** Bingo card for my prize?
If you had read the article, you would know that it is a summary of the state of research based on various internationally scientifically recognized databases.

Logic is indispensable for the analysis of anything.

IF masks work, THEN this is an argument for mandatory mask-wearing.
That does not mean that there could not be counterarguments.

If it were not so, absurd conclusions would follow.
perfectly illustrated this with the seatbelt example.

Data evaluation is a wide field with many potholes.
However, the above-mentioned pothole should also be avoidable for the interested layperson.

Wrong. There is nothing better than RealLifeData and it clearly speaks against mandatory masks. As an unvaccinated person, I care less about all of this. I understand many vaccinated people are now scared. But that has been everyone's personal decision, I no longer have any understanding for the whining. Sorry!
