In many cities and districts, real estate prices have declined by double digits in the first half of the year. According to ImmoScout data, prices fell the most in the Brandenburg district of Oberspreewald-Lausitz. From January to July, prices for condominiums there dropped by over 30 percent. Houses in Rostock recorded a nearly identical decline of 29 percent. This development is particularly impressive in the seven metropolitan cities. Berlin performs best for condominiums with a slight increase of one percent compared to the beginning of the year; otherwise, prices have fallen everywhere. With a decrease of 7.4 percent, the price decline in Munich is the most significant. Houses in Munich also became cheaper the most, by 3.1 percent. Only in Berlin have house prices continued to rise, namely by 9.8 percent since the start of the year... In July, the average price for a house in Düsseldorf was 607,000 euros, which is 6.1 percent below the level at the beginning of the year.
