So you have sympathy for all people? Everyone who cannot afford a house because of the interest rates. Everyone who did not have parental support for a good degree. Everyone who did not find a good job. Everyone who does not have our Western standard of living. This list can be extended indefinitely. That honors you greatly and is a good character trait. And yes, I admit, I too can understand all these arguments. This crisis is burdensome for everyone in different ways. But one thing is true. Everyone can achieve the best out of their possibilities here through hard work. That was true before the crisis and still is now. The keyword is: diligence.

I never said that the outcome would be that you can afford a house. An example of how it can work: About 30 years ago I completed my advanced technical college entrance qualification (Fachabi), in my class a girl who had to move out of her home because her father basically said: a woman doesn't need to learn/study, she will stand by the stove anyway later). SHE grabbed the opportunity with Fachabi and studying civil engineering, that was certainly difficult. She could have taken a different path here as well. (For me: elementary school->grammar school->secondary modern school->apprenticeship->job->Fachabi->studies->self-employment) Apprenticeship and work by the way at an authority! I quit there on my own initiative to continue (see above). See above, everything can always be explained, there is always a reason why someone couldn’t do something. THAT is what I mean by "weak". I also know the harsh reality from my own experience! Ultimately many of my decisions are more than questionable from a financial point of view. But I don’t complain ;-) because clearly: all my own voluntarily chosen path! During my studies I still thought: oh, why doesn’t anyone tell me what I’m supposed to do. Meanwhile I’m glad that no one tells me anymore.

Huh no, it doesn’t say that? :D My quoted post was about you and the fact that you "understand" forum members who maybe can’t make long flights, but at the same time have "no pity" for people in clearly worse living conditions because in your opinion they were unlucky or not hardworking enough.
Unfortunately, I have the impression that you hardly read other comments and instead occupy yourself with long monologues about hard work and luck.

Therefore, I say goodbye with the following statement: The paving work in the yard has begun. The current offer has only become marginally more expensive than the initial offer from June. Mashallah, you just have to be lucky in life.

You have to distinguish: I cannot understand anyone who complains that they cannot afford a house with their income, since for many this has been possible in recent years with personal effort or free education. I can understand everyone who is now sitting in their house and trusted that the state and politicians know what they are doing and provide affordable energy. This explosion in costs could not be prevented by diligence, as no one here is responsible for the war in Ukraine. Everyone can contribute to their own house or apartment through good qualifications or a lot of personal effort and build their house. For the latter, anyone can be diligent. For the former, the catastrophic energy policy of the governments in recent years is the cause. No one is responsible for these energy prices and no one can influence them.

What are you all whining about here? The inflation rate is at 10 percent. Barely noticeable. Everything is getting cheap. Black Week and prices are dropping.

You can even finance the vacation and then pay it off in very convenient installments. Where is the problem.

My problem, however, is that the things I need daily have mostly more than doubled. Sugar 1.49 instead of 0.69 euros.
Electricity for me will increase by 70 percent starting 01.01.23. The small bread roll at the baker now costs 50 cents and the pot of coffee 3 euros.
I also don't get government aid for my heating oil. Wood for heating has quadrupled in price and coal has become an unaffordable luxury item. A 49 euro ticket does me no good either.

And don't worry, we are just at the beginning of the development. It remains exciting.
