I love these killer arguments with "if everyone did that, then..." But not everyone does. Heating with wood is not absolutely sustainable either. However, wood at least regrows, so it can certainly continue to exist permanently as a niche. I predict that there will not be one single solution. Not just wind power, not just hydrogen, not just xy. It will continue to be broad-based, just with different focuses. So, let's wait and see.

By the way, there are also hybrid ovens. They burn pellets and firewood, so comfortably with automatic pellet feed, but independently in case of a power outage with firewood (and for the chimney romance...).

We are getting one like that. We will heat the living room and kitchen with it, as well as the adjacent bathroom and wardrobe, and one outlet will also go into the hallway upstairs to provide a bit of heating there. (16m of piping is involved). I’m happy to report whether it actually works as promised once it is hopefully installed and no longer just sitting in the packaging.

I would be very interested (pun intended^^). Also happy to hear via PM what you pay for it?

Price surcharges stones (including Xella, Wienerberger) from 01.01.23 20% (partly concealed through various different surcharges (diesel, logistics, energy, during crane unloading, ...). But consistently nearly 20%

Concrete average 30 EUR (!!) surcharge per cbm also at the turn of the year...

Does the building materials dealer still get a discount here?

I have an offer from the building materials dealer (from May 22) for 140.38 per cbm...

The Xella price list says from 1.1.23 455.9 per cbm

Xella is already not accepting any more orders for this year - so orders will have to be placed in the new year at new prices...
