On the one hand, you say that soon there will hardly be any "good" craftsmen left, on the other hand you advertise self-performance without craftsmen. How are new craftsmen supposed to come if everyone does everything themselves? Somehow a vicious circle, right? We (my wife and I) are the group that awards everything. And believe me, the regional general contractors do not make a killing. After all, they bear entrepreneurial risk and have to pay their employees. Besides, there is enough competition on the market so you can simply compare. I have also not yet seen the CEO of a construction company fly into space :)I rather see the problem that soon it will be hardly possible to find a specialist anymore. Not for money or kind words. The waiting lists are getting longer and longer. And those who eventually can no longer help themselves, cannot afford anything anymore either. In short, a shortage of skilled workers. The older colleagues are retiring and what comes after can be forgotten. Well, with a 60 percent university attendance rate, no wonder. Many things on my part were simply born out of necessity and I had to get involved. Unfortunately, I was and am not in a situation to go home with a large salary. As I said, I am a master craftsman and you only earn 1600 euros net there. But since we built our house ourselves, there were still free financial capacities. So during our construction phase, we even saved money. Since we were looking for another source of income due to our financial situation, we found a rental house with 10 apartments. The rental yield was around 35 percent. So a gift from heaven, so to speak. We then financed it, well, it was only 50,000 euros. Today we have paid everything off. The house, the rental house, and are financially free. No ball and chain. I still only earn 1500 euros. And now, of course, the rental income. My workday is short, stress-free and relaxed. That was also my goal. I just want to point this out when people here rush into debt with huge sums. When you hear people waste their high income, it really makes you feel sick. I remember a saying. You become rich from what you do not spend.
