The crucial difference here is that it is hard to do without a slab foundation, but quite possible to do without a gas heating system. So not everything that is lame is a comparison!

Or put differently, giving up a slab foundation for the sake of the environment means massive loss of comfort, whereas an air-to-water heat pump instead of gas produces exactly the same room temperature. Due to subsidies and the like, there are no additional costs either. So an easy way to make the single-family house less harmful to the environment without having to give up anything!

aha. And what is your source?

Unfortunately, it makes no sense to discuss this. Just google what happens if everyone has an electric car (which is the long-term goal), everyone installs an electric heat pump, etc. Why do you think you get almost nothing for feeding photovoltaic electricity into the grid?

And why do you think there is an EVU lock when operating an electric heat pump?

You cannot force everyone to buy an expensive photovoltaic system.

The Fraunhofer Institute. Unfortunately, I am not allowed to link it. But it can be found quickly.

Ah, does it become more correct just because you keep repeating it?

So if I google what happens if everyone has an electric car instead of a combustion engine: Germany's electricity consumption rises by 10%.
Currently, we export 8%. Yes, maybe we need to start managing everything a bit smarter to have it at the right time in the right place.
But all that doesn’t sound problematic. Or what makes you afraid?

Why do you think I put the smiley behind the statement? I do not consider new buildings ecological regardless of how they are constructed. Sometimes it just can't be helped. And those who have been reading here for a while know my attitude towards this.

Good. Maybe we should get back to the topic. The "other" has long been discussed and can't be changed anyway.
