Construction costs are currently skyrocketing

I would like to have a basement. Or 200m2 more land. Land would probably be more expensive. At that time (and today) I could not afford either.

There are supposed to be people who do not build on flat plots of land. Simply because the area does not allow it. I would have liked to build with a basement, but omitted it for financial reasons. In retrospect, I would seriously consider it again, as we have a bit more slope than originally thought. And putting the utility room on the ground floor also ruins the smaller floor plans.

The majority of the technology is in the attic, so only a small amount of space is needed on the ground floor for the house connections.

Those are then the ones with a double garage, where there are always two cars parked outside ;)

Changing insurance can sometimes be immensely worthwhile. I was with an insurer with a regional office for years. However, after the claims processing was worse than with a direct insurer and letters to the company headquarters went unanswered, I canceled all my insurance there and switched. It paid off financially very well.

This is also becoming apparent with us. The local "well-known" insurer wants almost €500 more per vehicle per year (Tesla Y) than a well-known pure online insurer with HU... in its name. In addition, all the recent tasks assigned have been completely botched. If this does not improve after a clarifying conversation with the boss, we will switch.

Now, from 2023 onwards, personal contributions or the materials are supposed to be eligible for funding again. But I can't find anything concrete about it. Does anyone know anything here?
