we have 36 cm pp2 aerated concrete without insulation. The structural engineer said that pp4 has too low a bulk density and is therefore "too soft" - meaning less load-bearing. However, something was added to the floor slab and roof insulation.

Not quite. PP4 is harder and more load-bearing. PP2 has a higher air content, making it lighter and not quite as load-bearing.

That's actually correct. Then I remembered it wrong and must have confused something. It also has a worse insulation value.
