Unfortunately, the reduction has no impact on construction loan interest rates. These have fallen significantly in recent weeks/months in anticipation of the current rate cut.
However, most analysts expect slightly rising interest rates again, as the current rates already reflect more than the actual previous key interest rate cuts.

Building materials are actually quite reasonably priced again. Especially wood and steel. What is extremely expensive is cement and thus also concrete. Does anyone know why that is? It can't just be due to energy prices, since for example bricks haven't become that much more expensive.

Cement is an extreme CO2 emitter. And CO2 is priced. Extreme increases are yet to come once the certificates are freely traded.

As our builder said back then, the L stones cost the same throughout Germany.. there are only a few companies that produce cement and they are like a family "cartel"
