I believe this is exactly the topic they are currently working on (merit order). Hopefully Habeck can finally assert himself against Lindner here o_O. Otherwise, the lobby is still holding back, since they (the electricity industry) are currently making a killing by selling wind power generated for 2-3 cents for 18-20 cents on the stock market.

In the end, these are the same discussions as during the financial crisis. How much welfare state do we want? How much free market economy do we want? How do we deal with the fact that large companies pay out profits to shareholders for years and then want to shift losses to the public?

Maybe we should allow companies to genuinely and harshly go bankrupt again? I am torn. But it feels like these half-hearted attempts at control are the greatest evil. Neither truly private nor truly state-controlled... that usually means neither social nor free.

We also have such a clip frame in one room. It works, but damages the rubber seals on the window. I don’t remember what it cost.
For all other windows, we now also have the ones with the hook-and-loop adhesive. Cost per window: €16.
Fully serves its purpose and I can’t think of a single reason why I should pay a lot of money for ones from a window manufacturer. They don’t offer any added value.

That depends on your windows. If you have windows with rebate ventilation, it can prevent air circulation.

I agree with you there. As a society, we would probably benefit in the long run if we didn't invest money in rescuing companies but rather, if necessary, cushion the consequences.

That will certainly have to come sooner or later if we switch much more to electricity-based heating. Some countries already have that.

I have the feeling that fly screens greatly block the airflow. So you open the window and almost no warm/cold air comes into the room - although I usually like that. What are your experiences with this?
