I believe this is exactly the topic they are currently working on (merit order). Hopefully Habeck can finally assert himself against Lindner here o_O. Otherwise, the lobby is still holding back, since they (the electricity industry) are currently making a killing by selling wind power generated for 2-3 cents for 18-20 cents on the stock market.I think it would be enough to abolish the merit order here, then prices would more or less regulate themselves again. I also find it worrying that the EU wants to "fine-tune" "critical supply chains" in the future, with minimum requirements for stock levels and prioritization of certain orders. Some bureaucrats still seem to be under the illusion that they know better than companies that deal with this all day long
