What do I have to do with this topic? Building was never our desire and is out of the question

At least half related to the actual topic: We have received the offer from our energy consultant for energy consulting, construction supervision, ... of our house renovation (built in 1930) next year. The energy consultant is a renowned engineering firm here in the area and makes a good impression.

Energy consultant funding for renovation is capped by KfW at 10k€ costs with a 5k€ subsidy. No wonder the offer is over 9,998€ ;)

Alternative offers are in a similar range, with some outliers on the lower side, which however do not include site appointments and apparently see themselves only as calculators / signatories...

I am aware that such a renovation (200m² living space, mansard roof, built in 1930, etc.) involves more work than a new construction project. Nevertheless, an old grandma has to knit for a long time for these sums...

The last knock-on effects will be that :) There are some companies (hearsay) that are having problems from mid-23 because so far only a fraction of orders are there

It’s the same here, and we’re hoping for that too, because that would be exactly our time :D

The construction company that is supposed to renovate our ground floor told me something similar. It was well booked until about April 2023, theoretically even throughout 2023, but more and more people are dropping out and it is foreseeable that this will continue. Especially projects that are commercially operated. This is now also our luck, which is why they have capacity for us.

After considering a patio roof, it is now installed. Aluminum with glass (8mm), 495 cm x 400 cm as a cabrio version (individual glass panels can be moved to avoid heat buildup in summer) and 6 LEDs for 8,500 Euronen. Concrete footings were also included. The under-awning was measured and will come next year. It is electric and costs around 3,500€ again. We received offers (all with awning!) ranging from 36,000€ to 20,000€ and then this one. The materials did not differ, but at 36,000€ the glass panel movement would have been motorized. The work was done quickly and really well, no rain leaks, and the connection to the house seems very well thought out and executed. The assembly was done by a well-coordinated team that does nothing else. Waiting time was about half a year.
