So in our neighborhood, someone stores about 10x8x2m high wood, cut from commercial Euro pallets, other wood scraps/cuttings from elsewhere.
Partly covered with a tarp, partly not.

Maybe he has installed appropriate filters? Or perhaps different regulations apply commercially than privately?

I have to say I don’t have a fireplace stove or wood gasifier, but I have often thought when seeing all those giveaway ads with wood scraps on eBay that you could actually do it that way. At least I find the idea totally understandable.
But I would definitely make sure it is legal, i.e. appropriate log gasifier with sufficient combustion temperature and filters in the exhaust system, etc.
I would never do that at the expense of the general public and certainly not to the detriment of my immediate neighborhood.

Is the attending chimney sweep also the district official in charge, basically supervising? Then just talk to him about it?
Or report it directly to the appropriate authority.

Hi, I have received an installment payment for our basement. The contractor charges me €2.5 per kg of steel including delivery and installation. The offer is from May/June with a price adjustment clause. Does anyone have current comparable values whether I should accept this or complain? Since the steel price (index) has fallen, I thought construction steel should have dropped considerably as well. Edit: Okay, just saw that the mats at the local building materials dealer currently cost €2.05 without delivery. I guess there isn’t much margin in that, right?

Reinforcement steel, right? Purchasing cost is about €1.20-1.35 per kg. Installation about €0.30-0.40 per kg. The rest will be margin and business expenses...

Does anyone here have current prices for interior plaster and screed (approximate price per square meter)? We have a major construction site next summer, and I need to get quotes.

What exactly do you want to have done with the interior plaster? We have Q2 from the bricklayer or drywall as the base. The painter has made an offer for Q4 (gypsum plaster), fleece, and painting. We will decide on lime plaster without fleece and only have the ceilings painted. Unfortunately, the offer is not yet available. Screed 35.65 euros net.

So much for the affordable heat pump :)
