Then this thread is also relative... from that perspective, building was as cheap as never before 10 years ago. Two years ago, you could be glad to get a plot of land; today there are some, but they are still not affordable, and building a house on it is even less so. Nevertheless, a house has value; flowers fade, so better go out for a good meal for 100 euros and have a few grams on your ribs. :)

Just don’t let your wife read this, otherwise she’ll take the decision away from you. :D

Luckily, she’s not active here :p and thankfully, she doesn’t always take everything I say seriously :)

If you’re looking for something, we surely still have some here. At 98€/sqm also still quite affordable.

This morning I chatted a bit with the general contractor, who is also complaining about the shortage of skilled workers. One problem seems to be that the apprentices no longer get a driver’s license. And we’re not talking about truck or trailer licenses, but the normal car driver’s license. Apparently, at 20 they are still being picked up from the club by their parents...
(I already apologize in advance for steering the thread into a new side topic again ;) )

Nice to read that you are thinking of your wives. We are approaching the 11th wedding anniversary. However, I explicitly do not want cut flowers, but rather perennials for my garden, because they bloom again every year. For €112 you can already experience a lot, or go out to eat. That's better than flowers that are gone after a few days. At these prices, I certainly wouldn't buy roses, especially since they often come flown in from Africa.
