Yes. Answer: "That's just how it is. They have enough to do." Brazen and condescending. He even wanted to explain to me how much more complex the assembly is compared to exterior plastering with painting. o_O Yeah, right.

Larch as exterior cladding is actually highly complicated.

It has to be dried extensively and warps and twists easily. Very difficult.

I myself lined a gate with larch. Fastened with stainless steel screws. Almost all the boards twisted and the screws sheared off.

I unscrewed the larch again. It cannot be processed. Therefore, I would avoid using larch wood for house cladding.
I am not surprised by the price.

Well, you just have to know what you are doing. Of course, you can install a larch wood facade yourself. I did that about 15 years ago. About 100m2 facade with overlap cladding. Sorting the boards (turning them correctly), cutting drip edges, mounting. Of course, here and there some boards twist a bit at 6m length. But no screws sheared off afterwards. Provided suitable screws, of course. I once published pictures here. Material price for larch back then about 3K ;)

röben has almost completely stopped the production of clinker and clay bricks (firing too expensive because of gas), can someone confirm this?

You can imagine. I had already written this here weeks ago. No one in Germany will build anymore. There will be no more material. All energy-intensive manufacturers have to stop production. Nobody wanted to believe it and I was banned for it. Well then.

I cannot confirm it. But I have heard that glass manufacturers like Heintz have to throttle or stop production.

Medvedev had predicted a gas price of 2000 euros per MWh. Everyone here grabbed their heads and said he miscalculated. He was too stupid to calculate. The price was at 200 euros then.

Tragically, it was not him who was stupid, but us. Now we are already at 1450 euros. Nobody can produce economically anymore at this point. Anyway, then we will just wait for the American fracking gas.

One gets banned here for that? On what grounds? I often worry that I might write something that could get me banned without knowing it. What was, in the opinion of the AI or MI ;-) , sensitive about your statement? Off topic: And for the gas from Qatar.
