My post was meant to be humorous through strong generalization.

And the reader is supposed to know that without knowing you? Because it reads somewhat differently. I am not a retiree, not by a long shot. But I can imagine that some people might get a bit out of breath at jokes at the expense of others, namely the retiree or senior group. I did get out of breath. Maybe you think you are being humorous. But you are not. It may be that you understand each other in your chatty tone - but it is still a public forum where you often only get to read sections.

You don't have to share my sense of humor. However, you still seem to have not understood the matter: I made a joke at the expense of a general social group. You then accused me of having a personally limited perspective. With that, I want to leave it at that.

Sanitary installations can be quite expensive. We only took the standard that is good in the construction specifications. Everything else like furniture, etc., we will get ourselves. As an example, a 1.80 m washbasin cabinet with the simplest countertop would have cost almost €3,000...

There are also usable alternatives in a furniture store chain with Scandinavian roots;). However, we only stuck to the standard of the construction service description here, which in our opinion is already quite good. Maybe we just have low expectations. That can be an advantage in these times. I was also nervous about the heat pump; at the end of July, when I asked, the plumber said, "yes, the heat load calculation is still running and then the heat pump will be ordered sometime..." very laid-back as if you could just take it off a shelf. The general contractor tried to calm me down again these days; he said the heat pump was "probably ordered" (he himself doesn't do it but the plumber does) and he hadn't heard that the delivery time was unusually long and as long as he didn't hear anything like that, I could stay calm. Stay calm. When messages like "Viessmann won’t deliver anything more this year" are going around... Well, I probably can't change it anymore. But if it suddenly says it will come in 2023, then there will be an outcry. The heat pump could have been ordered a year ago.
