Heavy. To be honest, I would never use concrete roof tiles. Yes, they are just as good as clay roof tiles. But look at such a roof after 5-7 years...

Is it actually a problem if controlled residential ventilation is installed later (after moving in)? How is it with the KfW55 certificate and the subsidy? We had controlled residential ventilation installed separately, so it was not a requirement for KfW 55.

My information about delivery comes from the Bosch sales manager and not from the general manager of the general contractor. Therefore, I hope it will work out. The handover of the house is supposed to be mid/end of July.

If it was not a kfw55 requirement, it has no impact on the credit. I did not use concrete roof tiles on principle. Without informing myself about it. If such a roof tile costs 80 cents, it is also relatively irrelevant. What my dormers, valleys, ridge, and hip cost me in work, for example, was approximately a factor of 10.

I also decided against quickly putting on a roof now. Clay tiles will most likely outlast me, with concrete tiles a new roof might be necessary after 30-40 years. Replacing the roof two decades earlier is not worth it just to avoid three months of waiting now. For the carport and the garden shed, I will probably use concrete tiles though. But I also don’t expect more than 30 years of lifespan there. And if the situation worsens further and concrete tiles become hardly available, I will apply for an exemption from the development plan and put metal on. ;)

As far as I know, the service life of concrete and clay roof tiles is the same. The difference is in the appearance after x years. Clay roof tiles look like they did on the first day. Concrete roof tiles look as if they were 150 years old (exaggerated).

Corrugated metal and completely covered with photovoltaics. Cheaper than tiles, lasts longer, and even generates electricity. By the way, it also works on north-facing roofs. ;-)
