Here the m3 costs €0.95, but in summer there is only 1.8 bar pressure at the connection, so watering the garden is then not much.

So you are talking about full-day care <=3 years? That it is significantly more expensive than the classic kindergarten 3-6 years and usually only from 8 am to 1 pm is normal. Otherwise, we have an apples/oranges comparison here.

Our children are both still at home; my wife does not work. We are still considering sending our daughter to daycare half-day, simply because we think that contact with children of the same age will do her good. We do have friends with children as well, but unfortunately, they are all still younger and our daughter can hardly relate to them. Her brother is also still too young. And we simply notice how much she enjoys playing with peers when we are at the playground. Therefore, we will probably bite the bullet and pay the 320 euros, which the daycare costs for four hours daily per month for us - but definitely not out of laziness (instead of playing with our daughter and son, my wife will then "only" play with our son during those four hours - and not lounge around).

In the most expensive houses? For example, we are building a promotional house with 130 sqm - without a basement, without a garage, without a carport, absolute standard equipment. And from what we have heard so far, most people in the new development area are building very modest houses. No one can afford an expensive house anymore given the land prices. As far as I know, everyone except us also originally comes from the area and just wants to live where they grew up and where their family and friends live. So I do not understand in what way the attached quote applies here.

If I look at the average forum building from the beginning of the year, the quote fits very well:
- Dressing room
- Parents' bathroom
- Children's bathroom
- Smart home gimmicks
- Guest room
- Kitchen with cooking island for 25k and additional pantry
- Gallery / open space
- ...

You can do all of that, but you have to be aware that much of it is simply luxury.

Don’t you have any play or crawling groups? Playground friends? If there is no pressure, I wouldn’t institutionalize my child before 2 1/2 years old. Apart from that, most children are often at home in the first year anyway because of colds, stomach flu, etc......

Water from the Baltic Sea? Great idea... just so the garden can be watered and the fields where feed for factory farming is grown. And what consequences does that have for the Baltic Sea?? I think it is absolutely right that no water may be taken for the pool or the English lawn. My husband would also like to reseed our lawn area because we have little real grass in between. I have vetoed because that has so many advantages. The clover is for the bees, moss and the rest of the scrub need little water and it still stays green and soft. And besides, you have to mow less.

She would then be exactly 2 1/2 anyway and would only be able to attend for half a year. We had also initially thought about a playgroup, but my sister advised us against it because it didn’t work at all for her daughter (she was constantly confused about which days she could go to the playgroup and which not, and apparently had a need for more regularity).

The quote referred to my contribution and that’s exactly what I don’t understand. No young family with children can afford such an average forum house here. Without financial support, the land alone is unaffordable for most. But to be honest, I am very glad that in our new development area there are still so many young families with “down-to-earth” (sorry, I can’t find a better word right now) professions and not just executives who only come home to sleep and whose children are looked after all day. Of course, it would be even nicer if the average young family could afford a house entirely on their own (and still have time for the children), but with the land prices here (even though they come from the municipality/city) that is simply not possible.
