My tile Albanian workers first showed up with a SIXT Audi or Mercedes (I don’t remember exactly). On the second job they came by public transport and later with a 15-year-old Opel Zafira with Polish plates. Whether that last one was because they only dared to come then since I always arrived with a 20-year-old Volvo or just because it offered more space, I don’t know. Otherwise, almost all craftsmen had dog catchers or transport vans. Only the painter from the neighbors ever came in a Mercedes station wagon. But he worked alone and on weekends or after work. A hairdresser came with an A6 station wagon for the measurement, but that wasn’t the reason he didn’t get the job. He would have worked alone too. The most unlikable by far because of his car was probably my demolisher. He had one of those American pickup trucks with monster wheels. Totally pointless to have such a thing. We later fell out with him as well (not because of the car, but it could have been a clue).

Our landscaper drives to the customers in a Lada Niva – the Porsche is driven by his wife =)

Funny that in this thread people mainly jump on the car :) And not on the gloomy price forecast

I recently saw "our" construction law specialist out and about privately. In the Maserati Levante. Professionally modest in the Q5. Seems to be going well :D

So I also often have a question mark about the cars. My veterinarian drives a VW Touareg, my farrier also has one of those huge pickups. Both cars are of course always heavily loaded and have to withstand a lot. Well... and then we have some of the parents of our daycare children... they hand in the education card for billing and drive a big SUV or a fat Audi

Nobody wants to do the 'dirty work,' so company owners of course sometimes pay themselves handsomely for it. Supply + demand If I work hard and make my 170k a year, plus another 50k cash on top. Yeah, why should I care about the car then. I just meant that especially in Germany it often has a bitter aftertaste.
