Rather not. Let's strike out the buzzwords and look at it soberly. On the one hand, supply with solar or wind is anything but guaranteed. At night you simply don't have sun and also not always wind. So you need storage or backup. On the other hand, with photovoltaics, wind, etc., you have almost all the costs at the beginning. Bad if you have no money, are barely creditworthy, and accordingly pay high interest rates. Developing and emerging countries therefore prefer to build a cheap coal power plant and then pay for the coal when it is consumed. That may be more expensive after 20 or 30 years than an "renewable" system right away, but the difference is simply many years of having electricity or not having electricity. And without electricity it is absolutely certain that there will be no economic development. And even poor regions will benefit from a secure, decentralized supply of cheap, renewable energy in some time. Especially for these regions, this is a real opportunity to generate prosperity and catch up with us.
