Does the submeter have to be located in a frost-free area? That’s not possible for me at all. The water pipes are certainly branched under the plaster, and there isn’t a separate pipe for each outlet from the house connection. Or does it have to be like that? My connections will soon be made by the municipal utilities, so I don’t know exactly.
Your main meter is also located in a frost-free area, right?
For us, the submeter was installed right next to the main meter, both in the utility room. All indoor water pipes come off the main meter, from the submeter goes the one to the frost-proof outdoor faucet. I can even use that in winter.
