I'm very curious too. We decided on an old-fashioned, separate kitchen (like in many rental apartments so far), among other things because I can't cook in front of an audience, etc. Compared to the large kitchens commonly found today in open-plan spaces, it is indeed less impressive. Our "dining/living room" without a kitchen currently also seems somewhat old-fashioned, but I will come to appreciate the calmer, externally less stimulating atmosphere. In any case, I'm already looking forward to posting new pictures in the house construction picture thread. :)I'm curious how people will think about the cooking island with lacquer cabinet wall in the living room in 20 years.
