Should we be ashamed for having made something of ourselves? I grew up in the housing project. Nobody needs to tell me what it looks like down there. And I am certainly not ashamed of what I have achieved. And I had cancer at 32. Quite a funny thing as the mother of two children. But what do I know. I am not allowed to "complain." No, thanks. I wish to take a flight once. I don’t think there is a right to that. But one is allowed to wish for it. And I will say no more on the subject.*I* think *one* should realize how many a) people do not have the chance to study in their lives, even though they *deserved* it b) people do not have the means to own their own plot of land with their own house c) people do not live in the feel-good oasis mother - father - child(ren), even though they would like to
and afterward *I* would reconsider whether statements like the ones I quoted are really appropriate. Your "I know what it means to not own much." doesn’t really make it better.
We live in a very small, 100-year-old house that we mostly renovated ourselves. Think before you accuse something. Not everyone here is sitting in a 180m2 new build :p.
