These houses are also not on the market for long. Plots are scarce in many places, [Homeoffice] is increasingly possible.
Especially the home office aspect will ensure that rural areas become more attractive in the coming years.
I also work 20 km from the nearest city, 20 minutes to the highway, 30 minutes to the cinema. My employer is based in Hamburg and pays well...
Why should I go to the city?
Why should I go to the city?
Compare the current situation with pre-Corona. Then you will see a massive difference in the use of home office. And this difference will continue to grow in the coming years, as employers have to compete for skilled workers. If Employer1 only offers 1 day of home office per week, then I will simply go to Employer2. Volkswagen, for example, offers (at least for IT) 80% home office per month. So I have to go to the office 4 days per month. I can even commute 100 km without it bothering me. I am still better off than driving 15 or 20 km every day...I am not sure about that. Most people in my circle of acquaintances could work from home during the lockdowns, but by now almost everyone except for a few exceptions has to return to their workplaces. At most one or two days a week working from home is still allowed. Only some people in the IT or media sector are still working fully from home.
