Everything is a matter of taste. Spotlights are great if you like '90s hair salons. They are basically the octagonal bay window of lighting design. Or the slanted doors of children’s room planning on the upper floor.
You either like it or are forced by necessity. You shouldn’t judge that.

Regarding cost increases: Now ENBW has also raised the rates for charging electricity (e-car) as of mid-January. But from 55 to 61 cents in the standard tariff (DC) is still okay.
So, we got from ENBW on 29.11 a new rate of 49 cents starting 17.01.23 and now AC and DC are identical (previously about 10 cents difference). Recently Tesla lowered the fee at Superchargers from the previously very high almost 70 cents by about 20 cents ... ;-)
