We received the cost estimate from our architect yesterday. For a 180m2 living space. Bungalow (in which 60m2 should initially remain only as a shell) without KNX, electric shutters or other "gadgets", the price is estimated at €688,000 (including incidental construction costs, which amount to €162,000). We already find that quite steep.

No, actually "just" have the old structure removed - that should cost 40,000€ and then the architect for 74,000€ and all the small stuff (electricity, construction road)
