Construction costs are currently skyrocketing

Maybe instead of a (expensive) landscape gardener, just talk to a paver. Speaking from my own experience. Paving „Zeta“ from Grafe Beton from 2021 for just under €11 net/sqm. Got it myself, gravel and curbs as well.

My prices are also self-procurement prices. Whether it comes out 1000 EUR more or less for material doesn't make a big difference. The paver might be faster than the landscaper because he does nothing else, but then he will charge for it as well. How much did he cost and where?

Hmm, is Konstanz cheaper than Berlin? Because just the material alone comes to 6,000 EUR for me.

I roughly calculated the following: 90 sqm cobblestones -> 2k 44 sqm slabs -> 1.5k 2 semi-trailer loads of gravel -> 1k Concrete, machines -> 1.5k Of course, all of this has some inaccuracies, but as you yourself said... an extra 1k doesn’t matter.

But even if - this is work for three to four person-weeks. Let’s say one experienced person and one helper. 60h * 70 EUR + 60h * 30 EUR = 6,000 EUR So another 2,500 EUR for machines and margin. That’s not much.

The hourly rates already include a margin.

Yes, the invoice almost exactly matches mine. I just included soil excavation disposal at 40 EUR / cbm (for me that also counts as material - just driving away material), that’s another 2,000 EUR. Yes, that’s right, there is also a margin in there, but also labor ancillary costs and overhead surcharges, so not much remains now. I just want to show that it’s not outrageously high as some here wanted to suggest. Now that I have done the (driveway paving) myself, or as a helper in own work with a professional, I also know what efforts are involved. I may also have underestimated the working time. But it depends on how the areas are designed and how crooked the property still is.

Right, disposing of excavation material is missing for me. But I can't assess that now... we have reused a lot ourselves and the neighbors want the rest.

Wow. At 6,000 EUR, a thousand doesn’t make a difference? I want you as a customer :D
