I discovered a new listing on Immowelt yesterday. 120 sqm in need of renovation, rural, etc... For €349,000. The catch is that exactly this house changed owners a year ago for €165,000. Now there are new windows installed and that's about it. I just find it crazy at the moment. A friend works at the notary. There are hardly any more sales to locals and many outsiders don’t even need financing and pay the money in cash.
Our mortgage advisor mentioned the other day that many clients are now postponing their construction projects indefinitely or even selling land / returning it to the municipalities/cities in some cases.
So I can even confirm the tenor of the FAZ article here in our rural area.
