It's right that you put "richer" in quotation marks. There is little that annoys me, but the claim that we are a "rich" country annoys me. Lower home ownership rate, lower pension level, but at the same time among the highest lifetime working hours. The highest household electricity prices in Europe.
Price level index is fairly okay. The EU is indicated with a value of 100%, we are at 108.2%.

Germany 3,570.62€

Spain 1,205.06€
...
So "poor" really looks different. The treasury is continuously well filled.
The question is rather how this flow of money is distributed and how we deal with expenses.
