No, it was actually okay. I did set up construction fences for demarcation. And mostly they stuck to it as well. Occasionally one or another craftsman shifted the construction fence a bit, but that was limited. Early on, everything was usually back where it belonged again ;) However, we also lived on the property (in a container) and I was almost always at home.

I just traced the water pipes based on the photos. The cold water comes together in one line in the utility room. An intermediate meter in the utility room is therefore not possible. Then it would have to be attached outside at the tap and removed in winter. I need to find out what that costs.... or if it can be done myself...

It is simply not true that an external water meter is not allowed or must be removed. Each municipality regulates this individually. In addition, there are frost-proof meters that simply run empty so that nothing can freeze. This also makes the external water tap frost-proof. We have such a meter without any problems.

It was. Since it was always clear that it had to be finished in 6, better 5 months, because we couldn’t live in the container over winter (outdoor toilet and shower, kitchen only in the tent, sometimes the water in the coffee machine froze ;)). And then the problem with the unavailable building materials started... But all that is forgotten now, we enjoy the new house every day and know that we did everything right.
