We have a "depth" of 5.5m because unfortunately there was no more space. That's enough for a station wagon without anything behind it or a small car + bike. 6m is certainly a bit better; if we had had enough space we would have gone for 7.5m, then it's also good with a workbench or similar.

Our garage is 6.01m long and 5.76m wide. I would say it would be good if it were another meter longer and a meter wider. Theoretically, we could also put the trash bins in front of the cars, but then you really can’t get to them well or at all. However, I wouldn’t do that anyway because I don’t want the smell nuisance in the garage. They are definitely better off outside in the fresh air. Only in strong storms do we actually put them inside. Regarding the width, basically there is enough space for 2 cars. However, on one side we still have a heavy-duty shelf and 2 bicycles, and on the other side a considerable fleet of children’s vehicles, so it is not so easy to get in and out anymore. If you had about 6.50m here, it would definitely be absolutely comfortable. In front of the cars there is room for things like lawnmowers, bags,... but you can only get to them if the car is outside, which is no big problem with the lawnmower since I need the car anyway to take the grass clippings away.

5000€ for the roof would have been okay, but he wanted a whole lot more. My coworker used to work at Nelskamp... the effort from concrete to clay is hardly any different and thus the price as well, he says, but the prices he mentioned for one pallet... as an end consumer you’d practically buy only about 10 pieces haha :)

We have a garage with external dimensions of 10.5x7m. The whole thing is further divided into a car area with a depth of 6m and 6.65m as width (clear dimension), the workshop part accordingly the rest (approx. 4m deep and 6.65m) I couldn't imagine less, rather more.

I can confirm. In my construction about 2 years ago, the switch from concrete to clay was price-neutral.

The emphasis is on about 2 years ago. Concrete is available from us at normal prices, clay for the most part not at all. Orders are only being accepted again for 2023, depending on how gas develops over the winter, it won’t get better in 2023.
