As said, do the full cost accounting. and then present it transparently here. I think you are making the numbers look better for yourself, it may be that I am wrong. But I don’t think so, as on other boards real experts calculate back and forth and all come to the same conclusion.

In case you didn’t know yet: apples have a natural "expiration date" and are seasonal fruit. This expiration date is artificially extended through elaborate cooling. Since the German apples have already been cooled for several months, they are consequently more expensive than the imports. I think (not sure) that from March onwards the CO2 footprint of local and imported apples is the same.

Before complaining, one can simply inquire about the reasons.

Who doesn't like to sugarcoat their own expenses? You want to have a good feeling about it. :D I will make a calculation and then we'll see what I forgot :p

At the beginning of September, apples should not be cooled for months, as they are freshly harvested. And as for the "necessity" of cooling... there are also so-called storage apples. They do not require special cooling, a cellar is sufficient. They are not really edible before Christmas either. But presumably too much effort for industrial agriculture ;)

What do you actually want to tell me.

At the end of August is the apple harvest of the local fruit producers. 10 km away from [Edeka] is such a large fruit farmer. I know him personally very well. You will not find his apples, freshly harvested and top quality, in [Edeka]. He is a few cents too expensive. What you find are the carefully cooled and certainly not as healthy apples from New Zealand. I had them in my own hands.

The same with cherries from Turkey or strawberries from Bulgaria. That is ecological nonsense.

The local fruit farmer cannot compete with import prices. He shouldn’t have to. He has to market directly and people buy directly too. I don’t want apples from New Zealand. They are mostly bought only by the green do-gooders with a vegan dietary philosophy.

How expensive is it supposed to be? For me, it was supposed to cost €8,000 net 2 years ago. Thanks to a €2,000 subsidy, I ended up paying €6,000. It is the V3 hybrid duo with 10kw and integrated inverter.
