I don't think I would get such things from the general contractor.
Me neither. The window manufacturer is an independent company. The fly screens are supposed to be installed by him after the house construction, as mentioned. He works great and knows our house. No summer without fly screens on (almost) all windows and patio doors.
We got ours from a local sun protection technology company, from which we also have our awning. In addition, he also makes terrace roofs, roller shutters, parasols, sun sails,... ZIP code is 91555

OK, thanks! If this can be done easily afterwards, I'll leave it out during the sample selection.

Someone just comes to measure because it really has to fit to the millimeter, and then they come again for installation, which was especially good for the double swing door. The other windows are simply frames that you clamp in and take out again for cleaning, which you can do yourself without any problems.
I agree, I wouldn’t go through the general contractor either.
But high-quality custom-made fly screens are a real blessing. We have installed fly screens on a total of 8 windows and 1 double door to the terrace. I can really recommend it to everyone. Of course, we still have the occasional fly/mosquito that finds its way inside because the door to the utility room, as well as the front door and the roof slope windows, don’t have any, but that is really very manageable. And you can keep the bedroom window open all night without any annoying buzzing. If you don’t have any yet, get some; it’s one of the best investments you can make for the whole house. The quality of life is massively increased as a result.
