I also find it disappointing, but not really surprising. Politicians usually only think until the next election, if at all. Currently, we see that they don’t even think a year ahead. Plans that have effects over decades... What makes it even worse is that this doesn’t only affect the construction sector, which is more than fully occupied with the renovation of at least 1 million residential units per year and the new construction of 400,000 units. The transport sector and industry are also supposed to be electrified, which also requires correspondingly complex adjustments and long-term strategic decisions. Under Altmaier, however, the future electricity demand was systematically underestimated, and so-called environmentalists also like to claim that we don’t need to build much new for the energy transition but only have to be more economical with electricity. But that simply doesn’t work when new consumers are added in all sectors.Lofty goal... and who is supposed to do the work? The shortage of skilled workers has been known for years and is not just a temporary phenomenon. I actually don't see any party that has a coherent overall concept ready. I really find that disappointing!
