A construction company we are talking to said they expect the KfW new-build subsidy to return after Easter. But only KfW40, probably not the 55 anymore.

That is correct, KFW40 will come back but probably with a significantly lower grant amount than before. Expect a maximum of €20k.

And even that is only enough for 50,000 applications...

Yeah, we're not factoring it in that concretely now. If it comes, it's nice to have / nice to tilg, if not, the financing must also work without it. Should the loan amount remain 120k?

I don't think it's that bad. In Germany, about 100,000 residential buildings are completed per year. 50,000 applications would then be 50% of the annually built buildings that would have to be applied for at once, assuming EVERYONE would apply for the subsidy. I can't imagine that.
