That was more than just inaccuracy, my dear. That was ignorance ;) I think photovoltaics are great, just so we don’t misunderstand each other. But it is, mostly, a nice gimmick for people who can afford to throw money around...

If today I finance a photovoltaic system at 3, 4, 5%, at the currently astronomical prices due to the chip crisis and supply bottlenecks... then the thing won’t pay off in 25 years and by then the inverter will have died at least once...

That’s the point ;)

Yeah yeah, you are both right. :)

Here I completely disagree. If the price is reasonable, the simultaneously installed photovoltaic system makes maximum sense and is exactly the opposite of a "nice gimmick," but the only trade that pays for itself.

When asking the solar technician how long such an inverter lasts and how long the warranty is, it got... very quiet.

You’re opening several issues at once... If the price is right, it always works ;) But the price is currently not as low as it could be because there are bottlenecks. You pay a surcharge without having any benefit.

If you don’t have the cash for the house, you have to finance. So you have to borrow an additional 15-20,000 EUR currently for 10, 15 kWp, at 3%. The additional requirement also pushes you into a higher interest bracket...

Installed at the same time usually means through the general contractor. He’s not stupid and will easily charge you a 20 or 30% markup...

And then you have 15 kWp, in summer 1,500 kWh/month... and you can’t use it... in winter you generate only about 200 kWh/month and buy expensive electricity

I mean... do it if you enjoy it. But you won’t save much money with it. If you’re unlucky and you get hail heavily... well, let’s leave it at that.

In the long run, it will bring you a few hundred EUR per year. For all the hassle?

By the way, there is a calculator from Stiftung Warentest for this…highly interesting! And as always: The blessing of the merchant lies in the purchase

I deal with FUs, drives, etc. professionally... What SMA, Jinko and the like mount on the wall, nobody in the industry would buy without a written assurance to provide at least 10 years of warranty...
