I received an email today from "our" container service with prices adjusted downwards (!) from August, after they had increased them in spring – with the energy surcharge introduced in spring remaining in place. I was still surprised by the lowered prices.

Durran/Peter Pohlmann/Knüllwald would turn over on the blocklist if he could read something like this... Interest still at the same level as the last few days

We ordered several decor samples for doors and floors from different shops. Yesterday I received a call asking if we had already decided. There would be an extra discount for customers who ordered a decor sample. Depending on which product you choose, "there's still a lot to be gained on the price." Aha. Are they already noticing a drop in orders?

From a reliable source, I can assure you that the order books at the major door manufacturers are still disproportionately full for the next few months and it is more likely to lead to delivery bottlenecks due to staff shortages.

Our surveyed interior door manufacturers (Hörmann, bodor) have raised prices significantly in the past few months.

Sort of, he is right about the basic trend of the development – the described relaxation comes from a tension in the economy, which is having quite serious recession worries and is probably heading towards a pretty dark time in autumn/winter.
