What do you think how people live and get to work? Sometimes thousands of kilometers per year have to be driven. Living in the city where you work is too expensive, so commuting is necessary. So you rely on the old small car, which is inexpensive to buy. You cannot afford an expensive purchase. No matter how high the price for transport is then. Also the topic of heating. Making a small place reasonably energy-efficient costs just (finally something about construction prices) easily 30k. How is grandma Erna supposed to pay that? She will rather turn the heating down until she feels chilly and beyond. And it’s certainly not just a few hardship cases. I agree with everything. But please socially acceptable. Being out of the chair in the town of Herrenberg near Böblingen, it’s all just an expensive evil. For others a mystery.

Where exactly is the problem now?
Everything is subsidized anyway. Photovoltaics pay off themselves; if you don't currently have the money, there are loans for that.

All of that is subsidized too.

I just keep hearing that there are some builders and entrepreneurs who don't feel like dealing with it?!

Actually, how are photovoltaic systems subsidized?
I'm really interested because I haven't found any subsidies for photovoltaics.
And you still have to invest the money first. Many of our acquaintances have calculated it (or had it calculated) and decided against it because it does not pay off for them.

The option to receive subsidies as a grant (which would have been 10,000 times more attractive for us) has only been around for a short time. Besides, subsidies ultimately only drive prices up and thereby subsidize the companies.

Commuting can't be an argument – unfortunately, in Germany the public pays for it in the form of a flat rate. That's exactly why we have the problem with the nonsensical commuting distances. Besides, those who really have to commute far nowadays have an electric car or haven't done the math yet. Selling the 2001 Fiesta and leasing a new, small electric car for 150 euros saves more per year than holding on to the old junker. And since those who commute that far – as you said – don't live in the city, charging is also not a problem. Otherwise, we agree that everything should be socially acceptable. However, what matters is THAT it happens!

If you leave aside the >100% subsidy in the form of feed-in tariffs, there’s actually not much to gain... (PS: You don’t get rich anymore, but if it doesn’t pay off, you were simply poorly advised. If you’re really interested, we can gladly continue chatting via PM.)
