Margin, risk premiums … if you transfer one euro to the contractor, around 30-40% may be attributed to [Material].

Anyone who is just starting to plan now cannot claim that the increase was unplanned. ;)

Well, when the architect's plan is finished, one obtains quotes. That's pretty annoying, because the house may have to be completely redrawn (compromises, no basement, new size and layout). Then you've wasted half a year and a lot of money.

Today, a small building materials dealer actually had KG pipes in stock here. Seems to be the only one in a large radius. I asked about the price beforehand just to be sure. Quote from the seller outside: "Sorry, prices have gone through the roof, I don't remember them anymore." Asked at the checkout... 2m KG-110: €16.07

This is really getting ridiculous, if one weren't so dependent on it. Just for fun, I checked at Hornbach in my area (Leipzig): €3.95 for 2m KG DN110, but nowhere in stock. Except in Chemnitz. They have 258 pieces hoarded o_O

You don’t have to. Then you just sign later and it’s more expensive. It doesn’t matter where, as everyone is raising their prices.

I think one has to distinguish between artificial pressure and a fair notice. Especially since they say the price will only increase from July 2022. So you still have enough time until then.
