Do you really believe what you write.

As Albert Einstein once said.

There are two things that are infinite. The universe and human stupidity. Although I am not quite sure about the universe yet.
It is a double standard to philosophize about CO² savings and at the same time build a house with 180m² living space.

No one influences any CO² impact in the atmosphere.

Harsh statement, but I share your conclusion: One only has an influence through strict legal regulations at all levels: construction, traffic, agriculture, energy sector, etc.

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is contained in the with a of about 0.04% (about 400 ) in the . Now we are talking about the share that Germany contributes. This amounts to 1.9 percent of the global CO² emissions.

That is now 0.00076 percent of the total CO² content of the atmosphere. So exactly this share can be influenced by us.

The federal government now wants to reduce CO² emissions by 50 percent by 2030. Then the German CO² share in the atmosphere would be 0.00038 percent. I don’t know if it can still be measured up to the fourth decimal place.

All huge nonsense.

You’re talking nonsense from the bar. But it’s Friday, so I’ll respond anyway...

1: We produce only 2 percent here in the country. But with our consumption from other countries, we come to about 5 percent. That’s quite a chunk for such a small country.
2: Everyone has to do their part. Own front door and all that. And currently, others are doing much, much more than we are. China above all. Yes, we even pale in comparison to the USA when it comes to wind power expansion.
3: Even if everything is nonsense, as you say: Let’s just try it. In the worst case, technologies in Germany that are in demand worldwide will be developed again, and our economy will do well. Plus, a bit more green in cities, less noise and stench. Surely no one can really be against that.

That is doubly incorrect. First, it is not about the proportion of CO2 in the atmosphere, but about the effect that a change in the proportion causes. And here Germany's influence is still small, but much larger than your play with absolute numbers instead of differences suggests.

Secondly, the idea that small changes must have little effect is not correct. This is now a physics calculation: how the near-surface air temperature changes when the perimeter is shifted upward by more CO2, from which thermal radiation from the Earth can again escape unhindered into space.

So before judging whether something is "complete nonsense," one should at least try to understand it.

That Germany cannot single-handedly achieve anything in the world is correct, but that has nothing to do with the above.

I have nothing against climate protection. Really not. Everyone can and should do as they please. I find this political indoctrination, this exaggerated panic, contemptible.

But we have to remain realistic. Bans and restrictions only help to a limited extent.

I cannot shut down nuclear power plants and coal-fired power plants without alternative energies that also work. Heat pump heating systems and electric vehicles have a high electricity demand, which cannot easily be met. I'm not even talking about the grid here.

Oil, gas, coal, wood, and nuclear are ruled out as energy sources. Frau Baerbock said yesterday that Nordstream 2 should not be put into operation.

What energy balance do we have if everyone then builds a passive house anew.
